How To Use
Title Screen
On the first screen you just need to click the Play button to start.
Main Screen
On this screen you will see two columns, A and B. Each column has 10 rows. At the top of the screen is a drop down box containing a list of the files available to be played in the program. Click on this box and choose a file from the list.
Once chosen, the file will be loaded and all the rows in both columns will be filled with the words or phrases from the file. To match a pair up, you need to study column B to see which word or phrase matches the one in column A. When you think you have found one, left mouse click and drag the entry in column B up or down until it is next to the word or phrase you think it matches in column A. If it matches, a green tick will appear and you will be awarded points. If it doesn't match, you will receive a red cross and no points. Match all 10 rows up to complete the file.
Create/Edit Files Screen
This can be selected from the top menu under File and is a facility to make up and edit your own word/phrases files. Drop down the top box to select a file to edit or click the Create A New File button. Type in your entries as you want them to appear in columns A and B. Click the Save button to save your file. There is also a Test button to try your file or a Delete button to remove it. The text boxes will accept copied text by right mouse clicking and selecting Paste. If you wish, you can move from box to box by clicking the TAB key. On this screen there is also a password facility to prevent access to the edit facility if required. Check the small box at the bottom of the screen to activate it. A password is required to be typed in and will be asked for if this screen is requested from the top menu in the future. To turn off the feature at any time, just uncheck the box.
Certificate Screen
When you make a score greater than 10, a Certificate scroll will appear on the top right of the main screen. Clicking it will take you to the Certificate screen where you can print out a certificate and/or save it for printing out at a later time. Also, in the top menu under Options you can move to the Certificate screen at any time, showing your progress so far. To save a certificate click on the Save button and enter a name for it in the dialogue window that appears. To open an old certificate click the Open button and choose your file from the browser window that appears. To move back to the game you were playing and the current score, click the Back button in the bottom left of the screen. Please note that the save feature does not save a game score to continue with, it just saves your certificate.
